June Technique Tuesday Masking and Reverse Masking
We had fun for our Technique Tuesday class. We did masking and reverse masking. I did some research on the internet and found a number of different ideas on what "masking" is.
I LOVE, LOVE the card we made in class as it's SO classic.
Stamp Set: Zoo Review (WM 122197, CM 122199, page 92)
Card Stock: More Mustard, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink: More Mustard, Always Artichoke
Embellishments: Always Artichoke 1/2" Seam Binding (121000, PAGE 172)
Punch: 1 1/4" Circle (119861, page 184). Black-Stazon
Big Shot: Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976, page 189); Top Note Bigz Die (113463, page 193)
First step is to run the Very Vanilla and Early Espresso through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die. I trimmed off the Very Vanilla piece.
Next step is to punch out a 1 1/4" circle (using a scrap of any card stock) and adhere it with removable adhesive to the top left of the top note. Now sponge over the top part with More Mustard and the bottom with Always Artichoke using sponges and a circular motion
When that is done remove the circle and stamp the giraffe with Black Staz-on
Run the Crumb Cake through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing folder. Mount that on the card base of More Mustard. Tie the Always Artichoke Seam Binding around the stamped piece and adhere to the Early Espresso Top Note and to the front of the card.
Stamp your sentiment – excellent for Father's Day!! I left mine blank as I already have a Father's Day card!!
