Heave Ho Matey!! Pirates are afoot!!!
My little 6 year old grandson, Hunter, had a birthday this week. He LOVES pirates and especially pirate maps. So……I just had to case a card I found online made by Sharon Rivera. He loved it!! And I loved making it for him!!

I did a lot of "handwork" on this one. First started by cutting out the Bear with the bigshot – then (and I'm quoting the OP here) "Off with yer head!!!!". I used the Ornament Punch turned upside down for the head and also cut it down for the scarf. The nose is the eye from the owl punch and I made the earring by punching out the eye and then used the bigger "eye" from the Owl punch and made the earring. The eyes are the little tiny "iris'" from the owl punch.
I cut out the clothes and used my paper snips to make them "ragged". I also sponged both the pants and the tops to "antique" them.
I sponged the Sahara Sand to make the sandy beach – tore it and layered it. I hand-cut the ship and the Jolly Roger and hand-drew the Skull with the white gel pen. The eye patch is half a circle with a thin strip of black. And then stitching with the white gel pen. I added some "blush" to his cheeks. And I sponged the whisper white with some blue for clouds.
I googled "pirate map" on the internet and found the map. I just printed it out and it was the perfect size!!
This made a little boy very happy!!
