Whew – don't say THAT fast!  That's a mouthful!

 I have this great little gift tutorial for you today!  LOVE it and once you've made one, you'll want to make LOTS of them!!

Perfect gifts for those hard to buy for!!

Free Standing Easel Calendar/Post-it Note Gift Card Holder

Yep – 3-in-1

It holds a 3" x 3" Post-It 

It has a place for a gift card on the back (or a business card)

AND I added a calendar on the front

You can place the calendar anywhere you want it!!

And there is room in the "pocket" for a mini pen!

Supplies

Real Red Card Stock 12” x 5 ¾”; 4 ½” x 2 ¼”

Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper

2 pieces 3 5/8” x 3 3/8”;

1 piece 3 5/8” x 1 7/8”;

1 piece 3 5/8” x 1 5/8”

Tear & Tape

Scoring Board

Instructions

Score the 12” x 5 ¾” piece – with the short side at the top score at ½”, 1” 4 ¾”, 5 ¼”

Turn the card stock on the long side and score at 2”, 2 ½” , 6”, 9 ½”, 10 ½”, 11 ½”

On the 12” x 5 3/4” piece cut to the 2nd score line on both sides on the 2 ½” score line

Cut off both sides including both score lines to the 2 ½” score line

Cut at the 2” score line into the inside score line and trim off the outer square. Do this on both sides

Miter the edges on the tab

Burnish all folding lines starting at the 2” with a

                                                          Valley Fold

Adhere designer series paper. The two 3 5/8” x 3 3/8” go on the larger sections; the 3 5/8” x 1 7/8” goes on the front.  TIP:  If you designer paper is “directional”, remember to place the back side in the correct direction.

Add Tear & Tape to the outside of the small tabs and to the inside on the two tabs

Line up the front “pocket” section and fold around to the back and adhere, carefully lining up so it’s even. Adhere and then using a bone folder press the tabs inside the box so they are adhered well

Score the 4 ½” x 2 ¼” Real Red Card Stock at ½” on two small side and one long side. Cut off both small ½” squares and miter the tabs – burnish on score lines

Add Tear & Tape to the 4 ½” X 2 ¼” piece next to the score lines

Adhere the 3 3/8” x 1 5/8” designer series paper to the front

Fold in long tab and fold over the short tabs

Add 4 ½” x 2 ¼” piece to back of box

Add Tear and Tape to the bottom tab

Adhere this to the bottom of the box – which makes the “easel”

I used the strawberries from the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper and the Real Red 12” x 12” card stock that is being sold in the Holiday Catalog (141982)

I purchased the white 3" x 3" Post-it note pads and the mini retractable pens from Amazon.com.
