Father’s Day Fun Fold Twist and Turn
I just absolutely LOVE fun fold cards and this is definitely one of those. Credit goes to another demonstrator Vera Ellen Duffie for this card – she shared it on Stampin' Connection (a demonstrator sharing website) and also shared the directions.
Isn't that just plain unique? Love it!!
Here's a little tutorial – let me know if you have any questions!
1. Cut a piece of Bermuda Bay Card Stock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score on the 8 1/2" side at 2 3/4" and 4". Turn and score on the 5 1/2" side at 2 3/4"
2. Next score from the center at the 4" score line out to the 2 3/4" score line (picture above)
I lined it up in my Stampin' Trimmer and scored. Not hard to do
3. Mountain fold on the long score line from the center to the outside
4. Fold the 2 3/4" and 4" score lines valley fold
5. Fold the two center score lines (diagonal) mountain folds
6. The left side center score line will be valley folded – once that is folded, your card will literally fall into place.
This is a card you might want to try with copy paper first! It seems confusing, but really it's easy once you try it!
7. Run the right side through the Big Shot with the Stripes Embossing Folder
8. For the front, I cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 2 3/8" square. I then cut a 2nd piece 2 3/8" square and used my Square Framelits to cut out the center ( 2nd to smallest framelit). I then masked this piece over the first and sponged Pool Party and Soft Suede. I took off the mask and staped the wheat and birds in Soft Suede
I added this piece to front of the card – stamped the sentiment and added it to the side!
