Double Embossing Technique

I made a complete mess of my room working with these embossing cards.  Oh well, so what?  It's MY room, right?

Here's a stunning card I made using silver embossing powder and double embossing.

I ran the brayer over the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder with VersaMark ink - you want it to be on the "indented" side.  So….when you look at the folder, the indented side has the "Sizzix" and "Stampin' Up" logos on it.  So ink up your brayer really well with Versamark and run it over the indented side of your folder.  Then put in your card stock, Whisper White,  (side that you want showing will be down on the ink), then run through the Big Shot.

Take it out of the folder and spread embossing powder all over it and heat set it.  Done!  I love the way the Silver Embossing Powder looks.  Had to emboss the "Thanks" also – to match!

Stamp Set:  Thank you Kindly (111700, page 168)

Card Stock:  Brushed Silver (100712, page 181), Whisper White

Ink:  Silver Embossing Powder

Embellishment: 5/8" Organza Ribbon (114319, page 195)

Punch:  Decorative Label (120907, page 209)

This would be outstanding in the Gold Embossing Powder for a 50th Anniversary card.  Hmmm – I need to make that up and have it on hand!!

More coming……
