3″ x 5″ Note Pad Holder Tutorial as Promised

As promised, I made up a 3" x 5" Note Pad Holder Tutorial.  I did a video tutorial here .  And now here is a picture tutorial

Supplies:

Stamp Set:  Vintage Vogue (WM 117690, CM 118598, page 126)

Card Stock:  Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla, Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper (117163, page 175)

Ink:  Baja Breeze

Embellishments:  13" Very Vanilla 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon (109055, page 191)

Punch:  Ticket Corner (119867, page 200)

Other Items:  Sticky Strip (104294, page 197), 3" x 5" note pad (purchased from local office supply store), Paper Snips (103579, page 199)

Instructions:

Cut Baja Breeze Card Stock 7 5/8" x 5 1/4".  Score at 3 1/8" and 3 9/16" and 4 1/16"

IMG_6244_resize
Fold on the center score line (the front will be shorter than the back)

IMG_6245_resize
Cut approximately 1/2" slit in the fold.  This will be the pen holder.  I cut about 1" from the top and then another 1/2" down using my paper snips

IMG_6246_resize
Open up the cover and add sticky strip along the inside between the center the back (left) score lines being sure to skip between the two snips

IMG_6247_resize
Adhere the sticky crease to the BACK of the folder, by folding on the left crease

This is extremely hard to describe (see my video).  If you question how this is done, fold before you take off the sticky tape.

Now fold along the right crease line to make the pen holder – open up and pop out the pen holder

It should look like the above picture

Next add Sticky Strip to the back of your 3" x 5" note pad

Adhere to the back of the open holder

Now you are ready to embellish.

I cut Sahara Sand at 5" x 2 7/8" and Elegant Soiree DSP 4 3/4" x 2 5/8".  I wrapped the Very Vanilla Ribbon around and then adhere this along with the "Friends" from Vintage Vogue to the front of the notepad.  Added the pen and it is done!!

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial – these make such nice, quick gifts!
