Our Trip to South Korea

I thought I would share just a few pictures of our trip to South Korea.

We spent 11 days there visiting family.  Sam's sister has lived there for 50 years (missionary work) and we had never been there to see her.  So….thought it was time

Our two sons and Sam's wife and little girls, Brooklyn and Brynn took us "oldies"

This is us with Sam's sister, Rose

Notice – NO shoes in the house.

The first thing we get there and we walk into our Airbnb and the man who brought said……umm, you take your shoes off!

Everywhere you go, restaurants, homes, apartment, you take your shoes off.  They often have slippers you can wear, but NO street shoes on in the house!

Rice Paddies – the rice had been harvested

Persimmons – very prevalent – there are Soft Persimmons and Hard Persimmons

Both were good, but we especially enjoyed the soft ones – sort of like an apricot!

Kimchee Crocks

Every meal we ate, served Kimchee!  Yummm

In the picture on the right you can see a tall pole with a flag – that's the Northern Korean Flat

Obviously is wasn't a clear day, but it was eerie looking over into North Korea

In the left picture there is a town (barely visible) which was build by South Korea – it was to help out the North, but eventually it was shut down

We rode lots of buses and trains

That's just a little about our trip

Jet lag?  Yes, we still have it.  We left Seoul on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and arrived home on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

Hope you enjoyed a little peek
