Ombre Technique – club demonstration for March

Recently I saw someone mention "Ombre Technique."  I honestly had no clue what that was. So I went to Webster's and looked it up

having colors or tones that shade into each other — used especially of fabrics in which the color is graduated from light to dark.

I found that very interesting, so decided to try it – along with using the Hexagon Hive Thinlit – which, by the way, I just LOVE.

Here's the card I demonstrated!

I first made a "template" with the Hexagon Hive Thinlit and then sponged the three colors – lightest on the bottom and darkest at the top!!  It was fun to do and love th eway it turned out

TIP TIP TIP:  If you have the Hexagon Hive Thinlit and are having problems getting the little hexagons out, the greatest tip is to use a piece of wax paper between the "hive" and your card stock.  They pop out like a dream!!

Also, notice the gold sequins?  These can be used in a line, or just individually to add some "bling" to your creations!  Neat idea:  Add them by putting them on your glue dots – they come off easily and stick very well!!

And here are the products I used…..
