Happy 4th of July Weekend!!
My wish for everyone is to have a Happy and SAFE 4th of July weekend. We are having the entire family home including our children's' pen pals from Australia. We want to show them a "typical 4th of July celebration weekend which will include a parade, a train ride, fireworks, and a picnic!!
We are SO fortunate to live in a free country and it's something to celebrate!!
So…..I decided to make some "treats" for the men that will be attending
I used the Gift Bag Punch Board to make my box. I didn't do the gussets on the side, but made it an "open" box. SO easy and fast – I made 11 of them in about 30 minutes.
I have filled them with Hershey's Kisses!!
Measurements
I started with a piece of Night of Navy Card Stock measuring 5 1/4" x 10"
I "ran" it through the Gift Bag Punch Board
This is what it looks like after punching and scoring
Then I just assembled it!
Tip: I used the "small" sizes. For the small size, the width of your paper needs to be 10" – then the other size is the height you wish – I wanted a 4" box, so I added 1 1/4" to that making 5 1/4". The 1 1/4" is what the bottom measures. I didn't put in the "gussets".
So when you do the box, you line up your paper on the "start" line, punch, and then score horizontally and vertically on the "S" mark.
Move the card stock over to the score line you just made, punch and then score horizontally and then on the "side" score line
Again move your card stock to the start line on the score line you just made and punch and score on the "S" line
Repeat for the last side by moving your card stock over to the start line and punching and scoring on the "side" score line
Move it once again and score to make your tab.
I cut off the little extra on the right side, assembled with Tear & Tape and it was done!!
I used the Swuirly Scribbles Thinlits for the red on the front.
The Whisper White piece is cut 2 5/8" x 2 3/8"
Added some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper stars and the sentiment "For You" from the Mini Treat Bags Thinlits set!
Quick and easy and will be a fun treat!
