Butterfly Basics Squash Card January Club Project

I shared a card before the holidays that is a squash card.  You can see the card here and I have a little tutorial on how to put this card together.

In January we made a squash card using the new Butterfly Basics Stamp Set in the 2015 Occasions Catalog and we used the coordinating Butterfly Thinlits!  Such beautiful products!

Here is the card we made

And the inside

What a fun card to make and give!

The card base is 11" x 4 1/4"

The "Squash" part of the card is 6" x 6"

You score on the 3" both ways and then score from corner to corner just on one of the triangles

6132

Fold each score line both ways to make the squash easy to pop

Fold in the "triangle" sides and push them down and crease them with the bone folder

After folding, it will look like this

I used a piece of card stock cut 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" – just score at the 4 1/4" both ways and down the center of one side – fold as above and fold into the card.  Add the inside embellishments.  To add the ribbon make sure your front doesn't have adhesive on the side and slip the ribbon through and around the back and tie on the side

And one more product that is called a Squash Album
What a fun project – I used my kids picture from the holidays

You could decorate with LOTS more pictures – I chose to just use 4
I used 3 pieces of card stock cut 8" x 8" each and scored and folded as above
I then laid each piece together lining up the unscored pieces and adhere them together
The two outside pieces will fold in on the triangle and the center triangles will fold out.
I added two pieces of card stock cut 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" to the back and front and added the ribbon through the back and brought it around the front for tying
