Baby Wipe Technique as an Ink Pad

I promised to share how to use Baby Wipes as an ink pad and then life got busy (with a HUGE garage sale) and the SUDSOL tour and I didn't get it done

So wanted to share how the fun technique with you.

Supplies needed:

Paper Plate

Baby Wipes

Reinkers

A solid stamp is best for highlighting the different colors

Step 1: Fold Baby Wipe and add reinkers – making your “stamp pad” the size of the stamp you plan to use.  I used the Printed Petals set (116679, page 106) for a fun, big flower.

When you add your reinkers, start with the darkest colors and then fill in with your lighter colors

Here are the cards I made

Stamp Set:  Printed Petals (116679, page 106) Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370, page 157)

Card Stock:  Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Whisper White

Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red Reinkers

Punches:  5-Petal Flower (for the white flower), Round Tab (119864, page 202) Scallop Edge Border (119882, page 200)

Big Shot:  Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976, page 214)

I free-hand cut the stem and used my white Gel Pen (105021, page 195) to mark the center.  I folded a piece of Old Olive Card Stock in half and ran it through the crimper.  I then cut out “football” shapes on the crease line to get the “veined” looked for the leaves.
