Valentine Treat Holder – Matchbox
Are you needing to make some quick Valentine’s? I have the perfect one for you.
We have 5 grandchildren who live close and 4 are in school. So tonight we made 80 of these treat holders. You could put any kind of candy in them – I chose the Haribo Goldbears which I picked up at Walmart. You could add some Girardelli Chocolates too!
I think they turned out SO cute.

Real Red Cardstock for the base 7 1/2″ x 3″ scored at 2 3/4″, 3 1/4″ and 6 1/2″.
Made With Love Designer Series Paper for the outside 6 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ scored at 2 3/4″ & 3 1/4″
Made with Love DSP for the bottom flap 2 3/4″ X 7/8″
Made with Love DSP for the top inside 2 3/4″ X 2 5/8″
And here’s a quick tutorial
Fold and burnish the score lines on the Real Red Cardstock. Staple the bottom 1″ about 3/8″ up
Adhere the designer series paper 6 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ to the outside of the matchbox. I started with the longest side which is the back. I used Multipurpose Glue so I had some wiggle room. I just added the glue to the back, lined it up and then added it to the front part. You don’t need glue on the top part; in fact it’s better not to add glue there as it fold better.
Now add the 2 3/4″ x 7/8″ piece to the bottom part – this will cover up the staple.
Next add the DSP to the inside top.
Stamp the sentiment and cut out the heart. Adhere the heart to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
DONE!! SO easy
