Halloween Treat Box #2 – Petite Die Purse and Monster Munchies

One of the things I LOVE about going to the Stampin' UP Annual Convention is all the neat, creative ideas we see either displayed or demonstrated.  Shannon West is a great on-stage presenter and she did a Halloween demonstration – SO many cool ideas.  THIS one was just 'da BOMB.

Monster Munchies Treat Box

This is made from the Petite Purse Big Shot Die – can you believe it?

If you have this die – you are going to be DYING to make one or more of these for those little monsters who come to your door.

So I thought I would do a little tutorial for you!!

You will need:

Petite Purse Die (125606, page 194)

Monster Munches Stamp Set (127904 W 127907 C, page 26 Holiday Catalog)

Basic Black Card Stock cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper 3/4" x 8 3/4" piece (126906, page 24)

Ice Cream Sticks

1 1/4" Square Punch (119865, page 183)

Scallop Square Punch (119884, page 183)

Two Neutrals (black) brads (119736, page 174)

Some ribbon

Step 1.  Cut our the petite purse die with Basic Black Card Stock

Step 2.  Add Sticky Strip Tape to both tabs

Step 3.  Line up the top score line on the 1" mark on your cutter and SCORE

Step 4: Add Sticky Strip along this score line

Step 5.  Remove the red tape and assemble the purse die side tabs first and then the "top" adhering it closed with the sticky tape

Step 6.  Turn purse over and with scissors cut down the middle of the top

Step 7.  Fold these flaps down and adhere with mini glue dots to the sides of the "box"

Step 8.  Cut a piece of designer series paper 3/4" x about 6".  Adhere to the flaps on both back and front

Step 9:  Stamp "Monster Munchies Just for You" on Whisper White and punch out with 1 1/4" punch (you will cut off the "bolts"   Punch out a scallop square in Pumpkin Pie and adhere to back.  Add brads to the sides.  I inserted a mini glue dot first and then stuck the brad in that to secure it!

Step 10:  Add popsicle stick to back of greeting with mini glue dots and adhere bottom of stick to the inside of the box.  Add ribbon on front if desired and fill with candies!!
