Valentine’s and the Letterpress Plates

Have you wondered what the Letterpress Plates are?  Me too 🙂  So I had to buy one to see what all the fuss was about LOL

And…..I LOVE them.  They add such an interesting touch to a card.  You can add dimension and color in just one step!!

Here are some cards I made using the Letterpress Plates.  This first card is just using the Letterpress plate and running it through the Big Shot

Really cute and very simple

For the 2nd card I used the Versamark pad (clear pigment ink), brayered over the Letterpress plate and then ran it through the Big Shot

This really brings out the “debossing” doesn’t it!!

Here’s a picture of the two cards together so you can compare

and acouple more samples highlighting the word “Love” with Real Red Craft Ink

As you can see, these add a real dimension to your creative projects.

You can find the Letterpress Plates on page 7 of the Occasions Mini 2011 Catalog.  Heart Pressed (121814) and Lots of Love (120983).

Here’s a video from Stampin’ Up’s Shannon West which will give you instructions on how to use the Letterpress Plates.  Enjoy!
