Technique Tuesday Baby Wipe Technique

I love finding "other" uses for household products.  Baby Wipes are usually used for Babies!!  Right?  But here's a great way to make your OWN stamp pad using a Baby Wipe

First here's the card we made – isn't it just bright and cheery?

IMG_1728_resizeSupplies for the Baby Wipe Technique

    Glossy White Card Stock

     3 or 4 Coordinating Reinkers

      Baby Wipes

 Instructions

1.       Unfold baby wipe to a large square.  Refold baby wipe into a uniform rectangle  about 4 inches  wide X 2 inches  deep (it will be easier to work with)

2.       Start at the top left of the baby wipe and using reinker #1 place two drops in the corner.

3.       Take reinker #2 and place two drops of that color next to Color #1

4.       Take Reinker #3 and place two drops of that color next to Color #2

5.       Repeat With #1–#2–#3 until the top of the baby wipe is full across the top

6.       Pick up baby wipe from the non inked edge

7.       Flip the baby wipe over and place at top and left side of glossy white paper to be swiped

8.       Swipe baby wipe down the paper until it is off the bottom

9.        Start at the top again right next to the first swipe and swipe from top to bottom again.  Do this until the entire length of your white paper is covered

10.   Let dry—Use as desired

TIPS:

  1. Turn you finished paper sideways and start swiping again for a plaid background
  2. Re-ink baby wipe as necessary to retain colors.  Or start a new baby wipe if the colors start to get muddy.
