Quick & Easy Card Set
Recently Andrea Wolford from Canada shared an idea for using up scraps of designer series paper. I wanted to try to it, so made up this quick and easy set of cards for my recent workshop hostess. Makes me want to make lots of them as I have SO many scraps!!
I used whatever was close at hand to make up each card and the folder. Instructions for the folder are from an earlier set I made here. I just changed the cover a bit.
I used the new Swirls and Curls stamp set which is a Level 1 Hostess set in the Summer Mini (page 4). This is absolutely one of my all time favorite stamp sets!!
For the cover I used Very Vanilla Textured Card Stock for the folder. The paper is the new Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper that will be available on July 1st in the new catalog!! I cut out 4 – 1 1/4" squares with the punch and then rounded two opposite corners with the corner rounder punch )119871, page 200). I lined them up on a piece of very vanilla card stock backed with Baja Breeze Card Stock. I mounted the 4 pieces with dimentionals. I then punched out using the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (122464, page 6 Summer mini) set on Image 3 and used the center flower – I punched out a coordinating piece of card stock with the 1/4" circle punch and attached it to the flower and then used either a Basic Rhinestone or Basic Pearl for the center.
I just stamped one of the sentiments from Swirls and Curls – done – a simple card!!
