More Valentine Treat Holders
Looking for something that will hold LOTS of candy? Here's a great treat holder that is quick and easy to make. I'll just share a quick tutorial for you – be sure and let me know if you have any questions!!
Cute, eh?
1. Cut a piece of Real Red card stock 3 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score on the 8 1/2" side at 2", 4", 6" and 8" and on the short side at 1/2"
2. Fold on all score lines and cut out as shown in picture
3. Using the Extra Large Oval Punch (119859), punch out a window in the 2nd panel from the left (the one you cut out).
4. Trim off the extra so you have an opening
5. Add Sticky Strip to the 1/2" tab end. Flip over the add Sticky Strip to the smaller tabs on the bottom (three). Fold up along the side to make the box
6. Fold up the bottom three flaps. The Sticky Strip will be inside
7. Cut a piece of Real Red Card Stock 4" x 3". Score along the 4" side at 1" and 3". Score the 3" side at 1". Trim as shown
8. Fold on score lines and slide the longer section into the box. Press down on the exposed sticky strip.
9. Lid: Cut a piece of Real Red card stock 4" square. Use a shim on the Stampin' Scoring Tool to make the lid a smidge bitter. I made a shim from a piece of window sheet – added card stock along one side. Place it on the side of the scoring tool – you card stock will be placed alongside the shim. Score 1" on all sides
10. Cut side on each tab. Add Sticky Strip to each tab and fold up to make th elid.
11. I used the Fresh Prints Designer Paper Stack (132996). Cut three pieces 2 7/8" x 1 7/*' and adhere to three sides of box. Cut another piece 2 1/4" x 1 7/8" and using the Extra Large Oval Punch again, take out a "bite" and adhere to front.
12. Cut 5 pieces 1 7/8" x 7/8" – adhere to front bottom tab and around lid. Cut a piece of DSP 1 7/8" square for top of lid
13. Stamp the heart from Language of Love (W 133074, C 133077) in Real Red and punch out with Full Heart Punch (119883), Attach to front of lid.
14. Make a flower with the Spiral Flour Originals Die (129379) and attach to top of box with mini glue dots!!
15. Add candy……..of course!!
