Metal Candle Holders with the Flower Folds Die

I have been wanting to try these metal candle holders.  They are fun to make – but be careful, you CAN get cut (I speak from experience).

I purchased metal roof flashing at Home Depot.  It came in a roll 10" by 7".  I cut off one inch from the side (used my Stampin' Up Craft and Rubber Scissors), and then cut 12 inches pieces.  I ran it through the Big Shot using the following sandwich starting from the bottom

3 pieces of 12" x 6" cardstock for a shim.

I then ran it through the Big Shot.  It was through kind of hard, but I didn't break anything {GRIN}.

I then popped out the three largest flowers.  This was the tricky part as you have to be careful not to cut yourself.  The easiest way was to press on the petal and tear away the part around it.  After a little practice, it was quite easy

I used mini glue dots and glued down the candle to the smaller flower.  Then using mini glue dots, I glued the three flower together.  I bent up the petals after it was all together.
