Inlaid Embossing with the Big Shot and the Square Lattice Textured Impression Embossing Folder

 
Using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to do "Inlaid Embossing" has really become a favorite technique.  We made a similar card (click here to see it) at a couple of workshops recently and one night (when not sleeping) a light bulb went off!!  Inlaid embossing.  So here it is again but a little different look!

Supplies:

Stamp Set:  Create A Cupcake (WM 121915, CM 121982, page 22 Occasions Mini 2011)

Card Stock:  Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Early Espresso

Ink:  Garden Green

Punches:  Fancy Flower (118073, page 200), Boho Blossoms (119858, page 200), 1” Circle (119868, page 202), 1/2 “ circle (119869, page 202), Scallop Oval (119856, page 200), Large Oval (119855, page 202)

Big Shot: Lattice Bigz Die (115958, page 206), Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (119976, page 214)

Tools:  Dotto (103305, page 197), 2-Way Glue Pen (100425, page 197), Anywhere Glue Stick (104045, page 197)

 

 Step 1.  Punch out Fancy Flower in Daffodil Delight.  Cut a piece of card stock in a strip (about 3” x ¼”).  Attach long strip to flower with Dotto

 

 
 Step 2:  Insert flower back into the Fancy Flower punch and arrange it so you punch in the center of the half-circles to make your “sunflower”

 

 
Step 3.  Cut Lattice die with Big Shot.

 Sandwich: from bottom to top

Adhere Lattice on Whisper White Card Stock using 2-way Glue Pen

 

 

  

Step 4.  Apply 1” Early Espresso circle to center of sunflower with Anywhere Glue Stick

 

 
Step 5.  Apply sunflower to Lattice with Anywhere Glue Stick

 

 
Step 6.  Cut two of the largest flowers in Daffodil Delight with the Boho Blossom Punch.  Attach two ½” circles cut from Early Espresso to center of flowers and attach these to the whisper white with Anywhere Glue Stick

 

 
 

 

Step 7:  Run Whisper White card stock with everything on it through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice Textured Impression Embossing Folder

Step 8:  Attach embossed piece to Daffodil Delight and then to Garden Green card base

 

 

Step 9:  Stamp Happy Birthday from Create A Cupcake on Whisper White.  Punch out with Large Oval Punch.  Punch out Scallop Circle Punch in Daffodil Delight and attach sentiment.  Then attach to card with dimensionals
