Christmas Cards – Shadow Box Snowflake
These shadow box cards and really fun and easy to make. It's been a while since I have made them and when someone shared one, I just had to try it again. Really simple and a fun one!!
I used the new Silver Foil Sheets from the Holiday Catalog – wasn't sure how the embossing would go and it worked GREAT!!
Stamp Sets: Festive Flurry (131778 W, 131781 C, page 30 Holiday Catalog), Greetings of the Season (128030 W, 128033 C)
Card Stock: Coastal Cabana, Silver Foil Sheets (132178, page 28 Holiday Catalog), Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (132341, page 29 Holiday Catalog)
Ink: Coastal Cabana, VersaMark, Pool Party Embossing Powder (129398, page 167)
Embellishments: Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim (130024, page 173); Frostedc Finishes Embellishments (132150, page 28 Holiday Catalog)
Big Shot: Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder (132174, page 22 Holiday Catalog)
Tools: Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334, page 178), Diagonal Simply Scored Plate (125586, page 178)
Here's a quick tutorial on how to make the "shadow box"
1. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 4" square
2. Using the Diagonal Simply Scored Scoring plate, score at 2" and 3" on all 4 sides
4. Fold in on the 3" score line and fold the 2" out
5. Do that on all 4 sides and you have your shadow box. Just add something special in the "window" and adhere to your creation!
