Black Ice Technique

I shared this great technique called Black Ice with my club members in March

They LOVED it and so do I

Honestly the picture doesn't do it justice.  It's stunning in real life!

And now I know you are wondering how to do it!

For the focal piece, start with a piece of Silver Foil Sheets that measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/2:

Using the Basic Black Archival Ink, run your ink pad over the foil sheet

You want to use a VERY light touch and get just a few lines going up and down

I ended up using some removable adhesive and attaching it to a piece of copy paper, so it wouldn't move

Next stamp your image again in Basic Black Archival Ink

Let that dry complete – you can heat set it to help that process

Now run a VersaMark pad over the complete piece – getting plenty of ink on it

Then heat set clear embossing powder!

That's truly it – so easy and so effective

Basic Black Card Base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Basic Gray Card Stock 5 1/4 x 4"

Whisper White 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"

Silver Foil Sheets 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"

For the sentiment Whisper White 3 3/4" x 1"

Basic Black 2 3/4" x 3/4"

Measurements for Cards 2 & 3

Basic Black Card Base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Basic Gray 5 1/4" x 4"

Basic Black 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"

Whisper White 4" x 3"
