Another Valentine’s Card using the Top Note Die

I had to share another Valentine's Day Card I made using the Top Note Die.  I still haven't finished sharing all the ideas I made using the Top Note – stay tuned as I will in the next few days.  But I DO want to share all the V-D cards I can for your inspiration.

First we'll start with the Top Note.  This card is made using the Top Note Die and running it first through the "normal" way and then turning the die cut 90% and running it through again –

The pictures aren't real clean, but you will get the idea!!

Step 1 Run card stock through the big shot – turn the card stock 90% and line up the points evenly

Step 2.  Run through the Big Shot again

Now you have cut off two side pieces

And you will end up with this

Neat, eh?

And here are what I used for the above card

Stamp Set:  Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370, page 157), Filled with Love (now retired)

Card Stock:  Presto Pattersn Speciality Designer Series Paper (117175), Whisper White, Glimmer Paper (121790, page 7 Occasions Mini 2011)

Ink:  Real Red, Pretty in Pink

Punch:Petal Card Extra-Large Double (119273, page 202), Modern Label (119849, page 202), Word Window (119857, page 202)

Big Shot:  Top Note Die ((113463, page 207), Lattice Die (115958, page 206)

I used the Presto Patterns DSP for the card base and also for the 2nd layer under the Lattice die cut.  I used some Pretty in Pink ink and sponged it oer the Presto Patterns Top Note Die Cut.  To "frame" this I cut two Top Note dies in the Glimmer Paper and cut them in half so that I could mount them behind the Presto Top Note.  I then added the Lattice die cut in the Glimmer Paper.

I cut out the Petal Punch and staped "Be My Valentine in the center.

Here is the card with the Petal punch open
