Another Sneak Peak – Pop ‘n Cuts
The new Pop 'n Cuts are SO fun – you can see my first attempt here. After playing around with this I decided I had to try making another one without the dress form!! Fun kids cards, eh?
Oh, Whale!!
I ordered the Clearlits Die (129403, page 29 Spring Catalog), but FORGOT to order the Oh, Whale" stamp set, so I just used designer paper!!
Anyway, here's the card I came up with and some directiosn so you, too, can experiment and use this die in many different ways!!
The Front of the Card
See the cool clouds? These are made with the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder – ran them through my embossing machine and then cut out the clouds and popped them up with dimensionals.

Here's a little tutorial on how to change the Pop 'n Cuts Dress Form to accommodate other ideas!!
1. I first cut out the card Base with the Card Base Pop 'n Cuts die using Marina Mist card stock.
2. I then cut out the dress form Pop 'n Cuts with the clouds dsp from Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP.
3. I cut out a 2nd piece from the card base using a piece of the clouds dsp that measured 4 1/4" x 3". I attached this piece over the top of the dress part of the form. I folded the valley and mountain for the pop up piece. Click here to view the video on how to fold the pop 'n cuts.
4. I then cut a piece for the bottom of the card using the card base pop 'n cuts. I used the "waves" dsp from the Sunshine and Sprinkles designer series paper. This piece measured 4 3/4" x 4 1/4". I attached this piece to the bottom part of the card.
5. I cut out the whale using the Clearlits Happy Whale Die and the small green dots dsp. I adhered the whale to a piece of whisper white card stock measuring 3 1/4" x 1 7/8" and then added this piece to the base of the pop up. I used a tiny silver brad for his eye.
6. I added the Marina Mist 1/2" Scallop Dotted Ribbon over the "seam" at the top
7. For the front of the card, I again cut out a piece of the "waves" dsp 4 1/4" x 2" – added a piece of whisper white cut 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" and again added Marina Mist 1/2" Scallop Dotted Ribbon to cover up the seam.
8. I ran the Cloudy Day embossing folder through with whisper white and then hand-cut the clouds and added them to the front with dimensionals.
