Chalkboard Technique and Valentine’s Day Card

An old, but wonderful technique is the "faux" Chalkboard Technique.  I cvan almost hear the scrap of fingersnails on the chalkboard and see the dust flying when the teachers used to clean the erasers!!

Stamp Sets:  Hearts a Flutter (129249 W, 129252 C, page 11 Spring Catalog), Seasonal Sayings (128006 W, 128009 C, page 36 Spring Catalog)

Card Stock:  Real Red, Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink:  Real Red, Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, VersaMark; White Embossing Powder

Embellishments:  Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine (123125, page 172); 5/8" Flower Trim (126869, page 5 Spring Catalog)

Big Shot:  Hearts a Flutter Framelits (130159, page 11 Spring Catalog)

I'll be sharing this technique soon on my blog.  But a quick little lesson right now.  Stamp on Basic Black with VersaMark – then embossing with white embossign powder.  Rub on some White Craft Ink to give it the "chalky look"  That's IT!!
