Club Demonstrations – Sweet Treat Box with Scallop Tag Topper Punch
If you haven't already guessed, I LOVE making treat boxes/holders. They are SO fun and my hubby likes them too, because he always gets the left-over sweets!!
Here's one I made using the new Scallop Tag Topper Punch – it's SO easy and makes a fun gift for any occasion!!

Stamp Set: A Dozen Thoughts (131056 W, 131059, C, page 59); Gorgeous Grunge (130514 W, 130517, C page 109)
Card Stock: Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar
Embellishments: 5/8" Crochet Trim (118481, page 173), Very Vintage Designer Buttons (129327, page 169), Large Pearls (125577, page 171)
Punches: Scallop Tag Topper (133324, page 38 Occasions Catalog), 7/8" Scallop Circle (129404, page 182)
And here's a little tutorial
Cut a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock 8 1/4" x 2". Score along the 8 1/4 side at 1 3/4", 2 1/2, 5 3/4" and 6 1/2"
Cut a piece of Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". Score on the 5 1/2" side at 1", 1 3/4", 3 3/4" and 4 1/2"
Turn and score on the 4 1/4" side at 1/2" and 4 1/4"
Punch both ends with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch
On the Baked Brown Sugar piece, cut on the sides, so just the tabs are left – I cut the tabs down just a smidge, so they won't show when it's put together
Stamp both pieces with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set – with coordinating colors.
Stamp the "Just Because" on one of the "tab" pieces – making sure to turn it towards the bottom of the box!!! Ummm, yes, of course, I did it wrong the first time!!
Adhere the Scallop Tag Topper piece to the bottom of the box
Add sticky strip to the tabs and fold up and adhere to make your box
To decorate, I cut out a 7/8" Scallop Circle in Baked Brown Sugar, Added the Very Vintage Button with the large pearl inside with glue dots. Then added the crochet trim for a closure. Fits two candies very nicely!!!
